Each client goes through three phases in their relationship with you. The “before” phase takes place while they are still a stranger to your store: before they have a relationship with you. The “during” phase takes place while they are purchasing their flooring and having it installed. And “after” takes place once the sale is completed.
Each phase presents fantastic marketing opportunities.

Before
“Before” covers any marketing system or strategy that compels people to call your store or take action to do business with you. This happens BEFORE they are a client.
A good “Before” unit works like a faucet. Any time you need new clients, you simply turn up the faucet. When you have enough new clients, you turn the faucet down. It’s really that simple. However, the only way this will work is if you DO NOT rely on “traditional” image advertising as your faucet. You’ll be lucky to get even a trickle of business if that’s the case.
Instead you should use emotional direct response marketing strategies like we’ve been discussing in this series. This kind of marketing is designed to generate enormous interest in your services, position you as being utterly different than your competitors, and get new clients to rush the phone and call you IMMEDIATELY and pay YOUR prices. No waiting months or years for these strategies to work. With good direct response marketing it’s possible to roll out a strategy on Monday and be making money by Friday.
