Here is a strategy to dominate your street.
Call or visit every business within 300 feet of your store and get the owner’s name. Seal a bunch of Home Advisors in a large envelope and write “Time Sensitive Information for <<owner’s name>>” on the outside. Include a cover letter introducing yourself and your business. Include a special offer for “Employees of_____________” and be sure to include a deadline, which is why it’s time sensitive.
Each month thereafter, deliver a stack of home advisors to the business.
Do you think any other flooring retailer will even think of doing this? No way.
After two or three months of this, approach each of the business owners about establishing a joint venture relationship.
